Olive Coffee Co

Visiting from San Diego and found this little spot. What a great surprise! A small coffee shop sharing space with a barber shop (an interior wall separates the two). Wonderfully quirky. Delicious coffee and the barista was brilliant. Best of all we discovered that they had named their shop after their dog Olive (a french bulldog). People after are own hearts! If we're ever back this way we will be back for sure! Thank you for a memorable and delicious flat white and whatever fancy coffee my wife ordered.

This local coffee shop is an absolute gem! The coffee is always top-notch, brewed to perfection with rich flavors that keep me coming back. But what really sets this place apart is the owners, who are the heart and soul of the cafe. They’re incredibly warm, welcoming, and always go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, they treat everyone like family. The cozy atmosphere, delicious coffee, and lovely owners make this spot unbeatable. Highly recommend!

If I could give this place more stars, I would! Unlike a lot of places now, the staff that work at this coffee shop actually know what they’re doing when it comes to making a coffee and they take their time making the drinks (which are stunning btw). As someone who loves coffee and buys a coffee out most days, there’s nothing I hate more than chain coffee shops like Costa and Starbucks, or cafes who buy these expensive machines but have staff who don’t know how to use them properly and make boiling hot or watery coffee and charge a fortune for it!!! This little spot however is a gem and one of my new favourite coffee shops. Just had a Spanish latte from there today and it might now be my new go to drink!

The best place for coffee in Jesmond, and Newcastle as a whole! I lived in Newcastle for 2 years and would always try to go to Olive Coffee Co as much as possible. All their coffees are fab but I’d particularly recommend the cinnamon bun latte with oat milk. Lovely, friendly, impeccable service as well.

Lovely little cafe with friendly baristas. There are a few stool chairs and tables to sit and enjoy your coffee, but they’re not ideal for long work sessions. The flat white is quite good, and I’ll definitely return to try their cookies.

My new favourite local coffee spot! Tucked away in a barber shop, this place is a gem - delicious flat whites (and trust me I’ve tried a lot), funky interior design and most importantly genuine, friendly staff who make you feel welcome.

I've been meaning to visit this for a while now and I never got the chance. It is such a lovely little coffee place. You can tell our batista really loves coffee and he prepared it lovingly for us which made all the difference. It's also very dog friendly and our pup enjoyed her puppuchino. Will definitely try to visit again and I highly recommend to give it a try if you are in the area.
